We were thrilled to work with one of our local universities to create an exhibition stand for Norwich Science Festival. The University of East Anglia's (UEA) detailed vision featured two sections:

• The 'LittleLab' - a custom, u-shaped countertop with open storage beneath, where volunteers and staff could lead child-friendly science experiments

• A STEMMStudio which functioned as a creative zone, including freestanding 'Tuff trays', a fun, built-in mirror wall, and even a soft-play area!

As well as the structural entertainment features, the stand featured a built-in television, just behind the countertop in the learning lab. In this way, UEA could vary the different learning activities on offer, including some technology-based science.

There were a few different logos to factor into the overall design: firstly, UEA's logo, (19mm fret cut foamex with rebated LED lighting) stood proudly above the lab. Then, it was important to incorporate Norwich Research Park's logo and name onto the freestanding graphic panels.

The order of the day was a bright lime green colour, a staple of UEA's brand palette. Beyond that, we incorporated UEA's signature diamond icon into the wall of the little lab, little pale blue characters, and contrasting black swirls on the body of the exhibition stand.

UEA's LittleLab set-up was a huge success, enjoying a consistently high footfall throughout the half-term week. The innovative, brightly-coloured exhibition stand was a great backdrop for learning, entertainment, and engagement with visitors of all ages.
